Do you ever wonder what would’ve happened had you done something differently? Just sitting here in the coffee shop I overheard a high school senior talking to her friend about her college plans. She had it all planned out; go here, do this, two more years here and then boom. Success will come knocking.

I just wanted to shake my head. It sure as hell doesn’t work that way sweetheart.

If things went the way we planned them, none of us would be leading the fantastic lives we have know. We wouldn’t have met the people we now love.

I’m glad things don’t work out the way we plan -they almost always work out for the better.

Think I’ll stay here a little while after my latte is finished. Who knows what conversation I’ll overhear next that may prompt the next sudden insight.
